From the reviews
Pure Barre is one of the best things that happened in my life. It is the only consistent and effective workout I've ever been able to stick with and enjoy. I look forward to going to the studio every day, seeing familiar faces in this wonderful community, and being challenged by amazing teachers.
I have been going to Pure Barre Twinbrook since August and I LOVE it! Not only is it challenging but it's a full body workout and the music is fun and upbeat. I also love the fact that there all ages and sizes that attend. As long as you can hold onto your weights resistance bands and ball you can do barre.
Pure Barre offers an effective methods to get fit, strong and sculpted. The owner and staff of the Rockville Franchise are a total class act and have created a friendly comfortable atmosphere. The instructors are very experienced and work with all class members to maximize technique and the benefit of the exercise.
I love going to Pure Barre! the pros are theres a 2 studios you can go to with the price of one, I go to both. Rockville South is more bigger and wider, the only thing is they need to put some motivational wall vinyl just like the other Pure Barre Ive been and also the music is not loud enough.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
