From the reviews
Pure Barre Bethesda is my top workout studio of choice in Bethesda. Everyone from the barretenders to the instructors make you feel so welcome! Clients get to know each other and some even become friends! PBB is like a family (not a ‘cult’ like some places in the area).
I joined here in December 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed both the classes and the people! Going to PB Bethesda is often the highlight of my day and I have met several wonderful people and gained some friends as well.
Pure Barre in Bethesda is super fun and a great workout! The staff and instructors are really positive and encouraging. The classes are dynamic and energizing. I always leave feeling fit and fabulous! Overall, it's great workout and highly recommend for all. I'm working towards those Michelle Obama arms :)
I have been going to Pure Barre Bethesda for over a year now and have absolutely loved it! I am seeing amazing results going in two times a week. (I'm more fit and toned, have way more strength than a year ago, I'm more flexible, and got rid of my back pain!!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
