From the reviews
I found Pure Barre Reston this November when I attended a free class and have never looked back. After working out in my basement since the pandemic it is so nice to be live and part of this community.
If you’re looking for a place that strengthens your body and your sense of community, Pure Barre Reston is it. My wife and I have been going for a few years now, and it’s become such a meaningful part of our lives that I honestly can’t imagine our routine without it.
I love Pure Barre Reston - I was very skeptical to join Pure Barre because I was not in good physical shape when I started - I could barely get through a full class. The instructors and fellow members were very encouraging and supportive. I stuck with it...that was almost a year ago. Now I absolutely love it.
I joined Pure Barre Reston over 2 years ago and feel like it was one of the best decisions of my life. I have NEVER enjoyed fitness before or stuck with a program like this one. I have felt 100% welcomed here from Day #1. Every single instructor is amazing. They give great feedback and celebrate every victory with you.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre Reston
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
