From the reviews
I've been going here 3-5 times per week for about a year-and-a-half and EVERY SINGLE class and interaction has been positive. The instructors are fabulous and approachable and genuinely seem to enjoy teaching!
I love, love, love this studio! The classes and exercises are perfectly challenging every time and the equipment is easy to use. Everybody is personable from the owner, all of the staff, the trainers, and classmates. I love how clean everything is and how large the studio is.
I love Pure Barre in Brier Creek. The Reform and Empower classes are amazing — they kick my butt in the best way. I appreciate the small class environment and the friendly staff; I can’t recommend this location enough. My trial class was with Sarah. She made the workout feel both approachable and challenging.
My five star rating stands after attending classes the past seven months. All of the instructors are very encouraging. My goals to build core strength and overall flexibility are one inch closer with each session. Some days I feel like a fish out of water, but there has never been one ounce of judgment or even pity.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
