From the reviews
Hi everyone!! I just became a member earlier this month and every membership is a 3-month commitment, just as a heads up. So for my specific membership, I have 4 classes a month for three months, altogether I gave 12 classes. Not bad at all.
I started at Pure Barre in October 2021. I’m far from in shape and wanted to have the motivation of a class workout. When I first started I couldn’t do a single sit up. Some of the problems from a previous c-section. They never made me feel like I couldn’t keep trying. And I’ve been working on it since.
I love this Pure Barre studio so much! Every instructor has been wonderful - so supportive, and helpful, and motivating. I started here almost a year ago taking one class a week, then I increased my membership to two classes a week, and now I have an unlimited membership and it's the best thing I've done for myself in…
started taking classes here about two months ago. During my first month, I came once a week, and I could clearly notice I slimmed down a little, plus my core got noticeably stronger. Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle at home and had to skip two weeks of classes.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
