From the reviews
I started going to Pure Barre consistently this month and love it! The workouts are different every time so you never get bored and the 50 minutes goes by so fast. Each week, I feel stronger. I also appreciate the instructors’ focus on form.
I’ve been attending classes at Pure Barre Knoxville for nearly a decade, and I’m just as obsessed today as I was when I first started. As a former college athlete, it was really important to me to find a workout I loved after retiring from swimming—and Pure Barre quickly became that for me.
What can I say about Pure Barre Knoxville! I have regularly attended this Pure Barre studio when visiting town and wanted to take a moment to compliment the studio on the wonderful teachers and the terrific classes.
I found Pure Barre after several years of inactivity due to an injury. It was the first workout I was able to do without pain, but I fell in love with the constant growing challenge, the way it makes me feel, and the amazing supportive community.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
