The classes they teach
“I've been a regular at Pure Barre the Heights for over four years now, and I absolutely love the workout and all the people who work and take class there.”
“I do Pilates and Barre and other fitness classes regularly but nothing has made me this sore in a long time!”
“Working out here is fun, even through my pregnancy when exercising is more challenging!”
“The studio has also been creative to help clients of all levels work out and stay healthy this year in studio or at home.”
What's on offer
“The equipment used is very minimal: a couple of exercise sliders, resistance tubes, some light weights (optional), a mat, and clearly, the Barre.”
“When the corona virus shut down our country, I received an email from The Heights Pure Barre offering me unlimited virtual classes for a very good rate.”
“But let’s face it, we don’t go to exercise classes in person just for the workout, we go for the community aspect just as much and that’s the reason I keep coming back!”

I do Pilates and Barre and other fitness classes regularly but nothing has made me this sore in a long time!
I have always wanted to give Pure Barre a try and finally did three months ago at the Heights studio. I have never been athletic or had great coordination and balance but after just a couple of months of Pure Barre I could see and feel a difference in my performance during the classes and in my overall strength.
I have visited The Heights studio several years ago when I was in Houston to see my children. I live in Birmingham Alabama. When the corona virus shut down our country, I received an email from The Heights Pure Barre offering me unlimited virtual classes for a very good rate.
Pure Barre in the Heights is amazing! I’ve enjoyed each teacher that I’ve had and regardless of the class I get a good workout. I’ve already noticed a change in 8 classes and am more toned. The community is warm, open, and inclusive. Instructors are helpful with new joiners.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
