From the reviews
Pure Barre in Oakley is a beautiful studio with fantastic classes. I am about 16 classes in and that is about how long it has taken for me to figure out what is going on (in a good way).
As soon as I entered I was greeted with a beautiful welcome ! She introduced me to the space and gave me all the details to get started. Julia was perfect instructor for my 1st visit!
I love pure barre! The staff is always so nice and welcoming. I absolutely love the workouts! They’re always challenging and leave me feeling great. The instructors are amazing! I can always count on Julie to give me a great class! I would highly recommend pure barre!
I love that at Pure Barre you can have both an amazing community and an amazing workout. The group class format make the classes approachable and the teachers still make it feel personalized, both with helping me get into the right form and pushing me to work just a bit harder.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
