From the reviews
I was introduced to this studio through a friend (Courtney) who first brought me as a guest. My first class was with the owner and I was honestly blown away- I had never felt so good (and so safe, physically and psychologically) in a group fitness class before.
Barre3 Mariemont is beautiful studio with wonderful teachers - and an intense workout that will leave you sweaty, but glowing! I've been doing different kinds of barre workouts for ten years, and this version does the best job of focusing on alignment while still pushing the limits of what you can accomplish.
LOVE Barre3 Mariemont! Such a chill, positive environment and the instructors are really there to help you get better individually. They're great with showing modifications if you're a beginner, not feeling it that day, or want to take it turbo.
This Barre3 is great! I’ve been a member for over a year. After the first class I was sold. Perfect mix of strength, core, cardio, and always end the workout with a minute meditation. Each instructor seems better than the last, and all bring their own twist and great energy.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
