Three years in and still HAPPY to be a part of the Pure Barre community! The low impact workouts are challenging and continually change to build core strength and improve overall muscle tone. Every move can be modified as you gradually build your own strength to perfect it!
As a long time runner, I often cross-train and have found that Pure Barre has been amazing for me to find my strongest self. Pure barre is great for anyone. You can easily upgrade or downgrade any challenge of the exercises and you work at your own level.
I started in May 2022 and I've had a wonderful experience so far! Truly it’s been life changing! The only way I can free my mind from all the noise and just be focused on well being. The classes help me feel better mentally as well as physically!
If you’re looking for community, accountability, and a team that pushes you (in a great way) to go further each day to be your best self - this is the studio for you! I love the A-Team and all that they bring to class. I feel strong some days, weak on others, but no judgement from the crew. They always cheer me on!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
