From the reviews
This is a great workout program/studio, and very effective! I go 3x a week and have seen big improvements in my physique since I started in July. All of the teachers are really great, and the membership is reciprocal btw the three studios the owner runs.
I have been coming to this studio for 5 months now and absolutely love it. The instructors are very kind and helpful. The class environments are very positive and inclusive of all fitness levels, body types and ages. Also the music is quieter than most studios, which I really appreciate.
I had a fantastic time at my first class! The instructor and front desk staff were very welcoming, and I felt so encouraged by the instructor Melissa during class despite not getting all the moves right. I'm definitely considering signing up full time at this location!
I am beyond grateful to have a wonderful, safe, friendly environment to come work out at. All the instructors are amazing and kind. I love this community and it gets me out of bed even when it feels impossible.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
