From the reviews
I’ve been going here for a year and a half and love it. I came for the low-impact workouts, and I stayed for the stellar instruction. As someone who is predisposed to back injuries, these workouts have consistently been the thing to get me safely and reliably back into movement after an injury.
The studio is located upstairs so you will have to walk up a flight a stairs to get to the studio. The studio is spacious and clean. The instructor and other barre3 enthusiasts were so motivating. I had such a great workout-will definitely return when I’m in town again.
I have been attending Barre Code Lakeview for about a year and a half after coming with a friend. I have been so happy with the classes and instructors. I attend Bootcamp, Strength and Brawl (choreographed kickboxing) on a weekly basis.
I’ve been going to this studio for over a year now and from the very first time I was extremely impressed. It’s clean and welcoming and the staff is excellent! From the front desk to the instructors, everyone is friendly and helpful. The classes are well-scheduled and as challenging as you want them to be.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
