From the reviews
Sara and the entire team at Pure Barre Bayport are wonderful!! The various workouts are medicine for the body and soul, and as you grow stronger, the workouts grow deeper — it is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in other fitness classes. The atmosphere is welcoming, engaging, and encouraging.
I’ve been a member at this studio for a little over a year and I’ve never had a better gym experience anywhere. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my body after taking classes here for so long, and I owe it all to this studio! The teaching staff are friendly and so knowledgeable about the workouts.
I love Pure Barre the staff here, everyone is so supportive and amazing. I feel even just after a few classes my core has got stronger and my balance has improved greatly! Everyone at the studio is so kind and welcoming.
Love PBBP! Have been going for over a year now and it’s the only workout routine I’ve stuck to ... ever. Sarah and the team are so helpful and motivating, it’s so easy to book and change classes, and the studio is always super clean.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
