Why NexCycle? Why Not! Looking for a studio where you can build strength, tone muscles, and boost cardio … in a welcoming safe and clean environment???…then you are in the right place.
Was looking for a challenging, fun, and welcoming class on long island and found it here! It feels like small group training in every class. James is attentive and cares about motivating everyone in the room to be their best! Can be found on ClassPass too!!
I started attending NexCycle while recovering from bilateral hip surgery. James’ attentiveness has helped me on my recovery journey. He is able to tailor aspects of the training sessions to accommodate my limitations.
Wow! Boutique spin is right! Took an 8 AM spin class with Stacie this morning. Talk about a positive vibe! The class flew by between the music and corresponding videos/slides on the extra large wall display screen. No drama, just healthy camaraderie in a fun, quaint atmosphere. Stacie is a driving force of motivation!
Your first barre class at NexCycle Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
