From the reviews
This studio opened during the Texas "snowmageddon" and still ran classes for those able to brave the elements! Their dedication to their members meant running a class for, in some cases, only 1-2 people. Now that's professionalism!
You will love this studio and who runs it. They invest in everyone's well being and learning the Pure Barre style.
I’ve really been enjoying barre classes. The workouts are low-impact but super effective — I can feel my muscles working with every small movement. It’s helped me tone up, build strength, and improve my posture. The instructors are friendly and motivating, and the class always flies by.
The class itself was great, it was challenging and easy on the joints. The people are friendly. However, the classes are pricey.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
