I absolutely adore Moxie! The instructors are not only incredibly friendly but also amazing at what they do. Their motivating energy keeps me coming back for more each week. The atmosphere is so calming and welcoming, making every session a joy. I feel truly blessed to have found this gem of a place!
I hate yoga, but this place is great. I’ve had some injuries the past few years that were keeping me from doing the things I actually want to do, so I figured I would see if yoga could help. I tried a few different yoga studios before landing on this one. All the instructors here are super nice, inviting and skilled.
I love my exercise time at Moxie Fitness with my Moxie family. I can truly say it has been a huge part of my ongoing health journey (I have lost pounds and inches since I've been going there, and gained flexibility, strength, and confidence).
Moxie is a cute little clean studio, I was so happy to find an exercise studio after just moving to Covington in 2023. All the instructors are very nice and welcoming. Lindsey is a delightful instructor with a sunshine personality and attitude, she motivates you throughout the class.
Your first barre class at Moxie Yoga Barre Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
