From the reviews
Mountain West Pilates has literally changed my life! This is the best community and the best gym I’ve ever been to. I love every single one of the teachers and look forward to the classes every morning. I have totally found my people.
I have taken hundreds of Pilates reformer classes, and Mountain West is still my favorite studio! My most recent class was with Emma as an instructor. Emma was positive and relatable, which I liked, but was also very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the tone and flow of her class - challenging but encouraging.
This is the cutest Pilates studio ever. The vibe of this place is true feminine power and I love it so much. Every instructor is amazing and different. There is so much variety here!!! The owner Cami, is an absolute Angel. This place made me fall in love with fitness and Pilates and has been my home away from home.
Megan is truly an exceptional instructor! Her athletic reformer class was one of the most intentional and thoughtful classes I’ve ever taken. She paid close attention to where each student was at—whether beginner or advanced—and tailored the experience perfectly.
Your first barre class at Mountain West Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
