From the reviews
This fitness class is a great way for moms to exercise while bonding with their baby at the same time. It totally takes the stress out of trying to find a babysitter or a gym with a trusting caregiver because you actually exercise while wearing the baby and/or using the baby's weight to build strength.
This class is a great way to get back into working out after having your baby and the best part is that you can do it with your baby. It's nice to be able to take your little one with you instead of having to try and find a babysitter.
I am having a great time getting back in shape with Tori. The workouts are very baby friendly, either if he wants to be in the carrier or play I get a great workout. I am very happy with it! I finally have a good solution to get back in shape without the hassel of loosing time getting ready getting there etc.
Tori provided a well rounded workout that I hurt enough to know I worked hard, but not enough to prevent me from other duties in my life. She was flexible when my toddler wanted to crawl around instead of stay in the ergo. Great workout!
Your first barre class at Mommy Barre™
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
