I love this place!! I feel so at home there and everyone is very warm and welcoming whenever I drop in. I only get the chance to come when I’m visiting family in the area. But I always make sure to book a barre class here while I’m in town. The workouts will kick your butt!
LOVE this barre studio! It is clean and such a beautiful space to take class. Traditional barre method which made me so happy since it can be hard to find these days. The owner is pure sunshine and a pleasure to be around.
Such an incredible addition to Laguna -- gorgeous studio with fun music and talented instructors! I went to barre class 12 days in a row and was noticeably more toned and firm! I recommend any new student sign up for the unlimited month, take as many classes as possible, and see the difference!
Amazing studio with a view of the ocean as you are taking a class. I LOVE that kids are welcome for certain classes. Seems like a great option for moms to get their workout in! Great workout that flies by!!
Your first barre class at Laguna Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
