From the reviews
Love this studio- I joined a few months ago when I was on the lookout for a workout studio close to my home, and was really pleasantly surprised at how much FUN the classes are. Bound is definitely my favorite!
I’ve been taking classes at this studio for the past few months, and I can’t say enough good things about it! Not only do I feel physically stronger, but I actually look forward to working out — something I never thought I’d say. Their Bound class is my absolute favorite!
I love Joule! I have been a member since it opened. I was a Pure Barre devotee but had to find a new way to work out after the local PB studio closed. Honestly, I prefer Joule.
Joule is an awesome fitness studio! I joined after barre 3 shut down and didn’t think anything could compare to my love for that studio, but the Bound class (trampoline class) at Joule is officially my favorite exercise class ever!
Your first barre class at Joule Fitness Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
