From the reviews
I can’t say enough good things about Inside Out Fitness! I’ve taken barre classes at the studio since they first opened in 2015 and while I mix in other workouts, classes here remain my favorite.
I have been consistently going to IOF for over 10 years, which is the longest time I have ever consistently stuck with a gym or an exercise regiment. Frankly, to call my experience at IOF an exercise regiment does not do it justice.
I found Inside Out 4 years ago when I was freshly postpartum. The barre classes had a major impact on recovering my core so quickly! I also LOVE the cycle classes- the choreography is top notch, it’s such a fun atmosphere and really helps build endurance on the bike!
No matter your level of fitness, give Inside Out Fitness a try! The instructors take the individual time to learn your name, make sure you know what to expect, and help you adjust to the intensity that matches your ability.
Your first barre class at InsideOut Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
