InMotion Fitness & Wellness - where to start! I have been training with the owners/other instructors for several years (who are all AMAZING, but I've followed Sandi specifically). I'm biased to barre, but there are all classes - strength, yoga, cardio based, mat pilates!!
If you are nervous about starting starting barre, Pilates, or working out in general, this is definitely the place for you! These women are the kindest and most welcoming teachers I have ever interacted with!
So happy I joined this gym! The atmosphere is encouraging, fun, inviting, and clean! Marci is awesome and full of energy, so the working hard during class is actually fun. I had not worked out in two years, but coming here has motivated me to get back into shape.

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
