LIKE?? I LOVE everything about Bolder Barre, All instructors are extremely skilled and high level trainers, very watchful of each person's form. Form over function!! They go to great lengths to make sure everyone gets a great workout, with NO injuries!!
Great workouts, doesn't matter which barre instructor you take, they are all awesome! Bootcamp and Yoga with Stephanie is treat! All the instructors are so good & all have their own personalities that light up the place, they give you modifications if you need them and push you when you think you can't move another…
I absolutely love BolderBARRE! The studio is beautiful and the instructors are awesome and very friendly. The small class sizes are great - it's like getting a personal training session in a fun, supportive group environment. I'm so happy to a part of the BolderBARRE tribe!
The classes are upbeat and as challenging as you want to make them. No competition at all. Love to mix it up with Barre and yoga! Staff is upbeat and fun. Makes a difference in the way you look and feel!
Your first barre class at Fitness for Women 45+ (Rita Jenkins-Wolcott)
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
