From the reviews
Working with Mary Peacock and the other instructors at the Pilates & Yoga Center of Lake St Louis has changed my body and my life. I have suffered with knee problems, hyperextension and pain from being knock kneed all my life along with neck issues from working at a desk on a computer.
This studio is so fun and challenging! Everyone is so welcoming and helps you grow. Even if you’ve never done Pilates before or you are super experienced, there are classes for everyone! I have improved my flexibility and strength so much in the past 8months! Thanks pyc!
I love the one on one you get even in a group class. But I always make sure I do a private along with a group class! I love all the instructors there and how differently they teach but target the same way.
My core muscles were so weak, I've only been to a few classes but I can already feel a difference.
Your first barre class at Evolve Pilates 365
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
