From the reviews
I recently moved to Fairfax, VA in July and found this place to start pilates. I was a beginner as this was the first time I had ever tried pilates and Eurona was so patient with me. She is the owner and lead instructor of epiphany pilates. She was so kind and explained things to me very well as I was learning.
Since October 2017, I have been going to Epiphany about 5 times a week. I've never been disappointed by their classes or instructors. Most importantly, I've met the most incredible and friendliest students! Their management is exceptional as well. I've never experienced a work out like in this environment.
I had never been on a reformer before attending classes at Epiphany, and I had no idea what I’ve been missing. I leave class feeling taller, more flexible, and stronger. Eurona is an exceptional teacher who uses great visualization techniques to help with form.
I really really love this place. The attitude of all the instructors is positive and motivating. They make it a community where we are all trying to improve, whether we are just starting out or we've been doing pilates for many years.
Your first barre class at Epiphany Movement Center
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
