From the reviews
Eight years ago I signed up for a membership at Barre3 Five Forks and it was the best decision EVER! The instructors and staff are wonderful and encouraging. It’s a welcoming environment for everyone.
Barre 3 is my favorite workout class I have ever done. It's an hour and goes by so quick. All off the instructors do a great job at making sure you are comfortable. You should sign up now!!!!! I can already tell a difference in my body and I've only been going for about a month:)
I cannot recommend Barre3 enough. Their 'signature' classes offer a combination of stretching/flexibility, balance, strength training, low-impact cardio and breathwork, while their 'strength' classes focus more on weight training. There are multiple membership and class package options, and classes range from 45 min.
I think Barre3 is great so far. After my class yesterday I am definitely feeling sore. This hasn't happened after any group class I've taken before so I know I was working hard. What surprised me the most was how I worked up a sweat in the warmup. I have never sweat while working out (except in spin class).
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
