i have never stayed committed to any group fitness classes or studio until i tried barre3 okc — the owner, instructors, and staff have been so kind, welcoming, and supportive from the very first day.
Love love this studio and the wonderful staff!! I've never felt so welcomed and motivated until I came here. They really get you moving and help to clear your mind. I love that they allow you to adjust yourself in ways your bodies need to. The classes are fun and very upbeat.
Attended my first in studio class today since COVID. The workout was great, as usual. So much attention to building balance, strength and cardio! Lindsay is such a thoughtful and knowledgeable instructor. Additionally, their attention to cleanliness and health safety is impeccable. They also offer zoom classes.
Your first barre class at barre3 - NW 68th St
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
