Got a chance to try out a free class of hot yoga upon the recommendation of friends and had enjoyed the one hour plus of breathing, stretching and simply focus on the here-&-now. Yoga mats and blocks are available for you to use if you don't have one and the instructions are easy to follow.
Balance. Yoga. Barre. Is simply and effective! They offer classes all the above and more. I truly love that they offer classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Especially love their weekend selection as I often am unable to make midday workouts.

I had never done yoga before I joined Balance Yoga Barre and now I'm addicted/obsessed. I look forward to my classes every week (even the 6am ones)! The classes are perfect for beginners and advanced yogis. The barre classes are fun and challenging, as well.

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
