Barre3 Flagstaff has provided me with a safe and welcoming space to jump back into a workout regime in my postpartum months after having my first baby. I feel encouraged and challenged by instructors and classmates alike, and am incredibly grateful to have started taking classes at Barre3.
Wanted to diversify my wellness routine in the new year, and gave Barre3 a try. So glad I did! All the instructors are super passionate, engaging and friendly... on top of being super knowledgeable about their craft.
This is a wonderful place to work out, train and challenge yourself. The overall vibe is really uplifting ! Honestly all the instructors and staff are friendly and great at what they do. What a gem of a studio. Very happy to train here and feel the nice community that surrounds, and is this place.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
