Great workout. Tried both the hiit and the 90 minute yoga. Great workouts. Nicole was an incredible teacher, energy and tips to make my practice better. Masks are optional too, which I view as a plus!
I moved to Flagstaff not long ago, and on my second day in town, I walked into The Foundry. It’s no exaggeration to say it’s been life-changing. The sense of community and the quality of the teachers are truly unmatched—better than any studio I’ve been to before.
Attending classes at The Foundry has truly been a transformative experience for me. From the moment I stepped into their studio, I felt welcomed and supported by their knowledgeable instructors and friendly staff. The variety of classes offered cater to all levels, allowing me to deepen my practice at my own pace.
Gabrielle is a phenomenal instructor. Her flow classes are really refreshing. To me, the classes start off a bit yin, enter a little hatha where I can dig into the pose, and then she ends with a vinyasa flow with peak poses for a challenge. The class always feels very full circle.
Your first barre class at The Foundry Flagstaff
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
