From the reviews
Amazing idea to have a childcare option in the building. My daughter had a great time. There are just enough books and toys to keep them entertained for an hour. This barre studio is unique and clean. The mats are lined with a leather layer that makes it extra easy to clean and doesn't get torn up with use. So clever.
Barre3 Highlands Square is a fantastic studio! As soon as I signed up I was greeted with a welcome text by the owner Julie checking in to see if I had done Barre before and checking my comfort level with attending a class for the first time.
This is a bright, welcoming studio with great staff and fantastic instructors. They have plentiful lockers and cubbies for your stuff, well appointed restrooms, and one of the few studios that still offer towels. They have clean equipment that is well maintained.
I have tried workout studios ALL over Denver -- no place is as friendly, welcoming, bright, and beautiful as Barre3 in the Highlands. The workouts are phenomenal; I have never been with an instructor I didn't like. They offer so many variations and emphasize doing what feels good in your body.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
