Thank you Bella! I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and she went above and beyond to offer thoughtful modifications for core work so I still got a great workout but didn't have to be on my back.

I’m very impressed with Barre3 Boise… I took one free class & signed up immediately. Coming from someone who doesn’t particularly love exercise classes, I LOVE it! I’m so surprised at how different & fun each class has been. I love that it’s whole-body and that they really focus on modifications for us as individuals.

I can’t say just how happy I am that barre3 is the newest addition to Southeast Boise! I have been looking for a workout that combines strength, mindfulness, and FUN for so so long, and I can tell you that barre3 is it! I’ve taken classes by Kelsey, Jen, and Ellie so far and each of them are just phenomenal.

★★★★★ — Gracie, Feb 2024

I couldn’t recommend Barre3 more! As an avid group fitness lover, I’ve never done any workout that has made me feel more empowered and exhilarated than these classes! Not to mention I always leave feeling like a the strongest version of myself and floating across the room like I’m the queen of the world!

Your first barre class at barre3

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
