From the reviews
Kelly is such an amazing instructor. I had never taken a Barre Class before and Kelly encouraged me to come out to one of her group classes. I instantly felt comfortable because of how inviting Kelly was. She keeps a positive atmosphere the entire duration of class which makes you feel motivated for the full session.
Barre Roots offers a challenging and effective workout that really delivers results. Danielle is a fantastic instructor—motivating, encouraging, and full of positive energy. It was hard to find a place nearby that felt truly welcoming, especially not knowing anyone. But from the start, I felt comfortable here.
New to Pilates? So was I. I was nervous as heck and scared to try something new but now I can’t get enough.. I LOVE IT. Kelly the owner is so welcoming and instantly made me comfortable. It’s challenging but in the best, calmest way.
I started going to Barre Roots pop up classes around the town and officially joined in January. The last 5 months have been incredible. Kelly has built such an amazing space and is a text or phone call away when you are having a bad day. She makes time and cares about each and every one that walks through the doors.
Your first barre class at Barre Roots
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
