From the reviews
I have loved my experience with Be Well Barre. Ashlynn provides clear instructions, so I know exactly what my body should be doing, and I always feel comfortable modifying for my own limits and needs.
I’ve really been enjoying Ashlynn’s classes! Her instructions are clear and she is so positive and motivating. Each class is a new opportunity to challenge myself in a healthy way. I’ve noticed positive changes in both my body and my mind since being introduced to Be Well Barre.
Ashlynn is an amazing instructor and such a joy to watch! The music is fun, her enthusiasm is infectious, and you are bound to get a great workout in. I went from never having done a barre class to loving every second of it. I may not point my toes like a pro but I continue to improve with each class.
Your first barre class at Ashlynn Howe Movement
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
