From the reviews
I have discovered barre classes at Matawan studio last summer of 2015. That was very important to my failing body. I needed to shape it up and also to get into exercise routine. Needless to say the barre classless burnt my excessive fat and put me into positive attitude.
Heather & Liz are wonderful Barre Instructors. They make sure you are positioned correctly in the poses, and keep you motivated to do your best. We always work hard but have a lot of laughs in the process!! As a bonus, Pat's Yin Yoga on Friday is a must! ❤️ this place! Highly recommend !
I discovered Pat’s Yin Yoga class several years ago and I realized that I had made a great find ! I keep coming back to it . Pat starts class with a brief meditation and then proceeds to guide us into a series of yoga poses supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks. Each pose is held for several minutes .
Yoga Suite offers such a wonderful selection of classes from yoga to barre. I started barre very recently and was intimidated to go to the first class thinking I would feel self conscious that I didn't know what I was doing or couldn't keep up. Was I wrong!
Your first barre class at Yoga Suite & Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
