Betsy signed me up and was so helpful in explaining how everything worked to me Mary Ann's class was so fun yet challenging and she explained everything along the way.
I love pure barre !! The classes are great. All of the instructors are helpful and motivating so you can get the most out of your class. I think it’s a great place where I can go and focus on something that makes me feel better
This is the only workout I've done consistently because it's so much fun and effective! You really feel it after each class. The instructors are lovely and so helpful. They do a wonderful job keeping you motivated.
I hated to work out before I started Pure Barre. Now I can’t wait to get to my class and I’m sad when I have to miss one. The structure is so effective and the instructors are amazing!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
