Love this place! The class coaches are professional and friendly. I love the atmosphere with the local people in the class. The space is nice and clean. I also feel happy that each coach / class is very different and you can definitely feel new and fresh every time.
If you have not tried Xtend Barre you are missing out. It is a great workout, with fabulous instructors, and every workout is different. And as an added bonus, the Xtend Barre clients and instructors are like family. I look forward to every workout.
Been coming to The studio for years and love it. Its challenging each time because each instructor is unique and will make it worth your time. Everyone is so nice and friendly including the members. Highly recommend trying a class. It’s addicting😀
I love Xtend Barre Scripps Poway! I have been a client since 2013 and am so grateful for the studio & all of the instructors. The classes are challenging and adaptable to your level. The instructors give you guidance on how to make the exercises more challenging or how to modify it to make it easier.

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
