The Wellness Barre is amazing! Maia & team are so welcoming, kind & helpful! Their customer service is personable and top notch! Maia carries a wide variety of boutique items, clothing with Beyond Yoga as a personal favorite! A great offering of gifts for any occasion. I absolutely love shopping here!!!
I can’t say enough good things about The Wellness Barre! I look forward to my weekly early Saturday morning classes! The classes are small, so we all actually get to know one another and laugh together in class when Maia is kicking our butts!
My wife and I visited this local store when one of our airbnb guests mentioned they found some great women's workout wear there - on clearance. We were so warmly greeted, and my wife found a couple yoga tops that she felt were a needed upgrade from her current wardrobe.
I stopped in to shop one day after trying out other places, and Maia mentioned that my first class was free with a code. I thought, ‘Why not?’ and decided to give it a try since the class schedule worked better for me than some other places I had been to.
Your first barre class at The Wellness Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
