From the reviews
Update: I've been going to pilates at this studio for almost a year and it has been the best investment of my time and money. I really got consistent in December (it's April now) and I can see a big difference in my body. I am not a pro by any means, but I can definitely tell I've come a long way from where I started.
Absolutely glad I went to try out The Pilates Barre 38834 here in corinth. I could barely reach my toes and now I can reach them. Even if it is only for a second. I am far from being fit but with help and guidance from Mrs. Jamie and Laura I am finally getting flexible again at the ripe age of 43.
So thankful that I found the Pilates Barre! I had been interested in trying reformer Pilates for years, but never thought I would be able to due to living in such a rural area. I found the Pilates barre after a google search about a year ago and I haven’t looked back.
I would give The Pilates Barre 20 stars if I could! I have tried so many different types of workouts and workout classes over the last 10 years. None of them kept me wanting more, or had the welcoming environment that TPB gives. Jamie is an incredible instructor!
Your first barre class at The Pilates Barre 38834
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
