From the reviews
After weeks of researching local fitness programs, I made the leap to take a tour of The Core Connection and it was the best decision I could have made! I was not looking for a typical gym atmosphere but needed to find classes to build my core in order to help with chronic back pain.
Absolutely love going to The Core Connection! I made the switch from a traditional gym membership to their unlimited membership, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. They truly have something for everyone—pilates, strength, yoga, cycling, Zumba, and more—so it never feels repetitive.
I’ve been a regular at The Core Connection for several years and cannot recommend it highly enough! The staff here are truly dedicated, creating a welcoming and professional environment that motivates you to return time and again.
Whether fitness classes are part of your weekly routine or you are on the fence because you are a beginner, The Core Connection is for you. Knowledgeable, caring instructors to help you reach your potential are ready to help you achieve your goals.
Your first barre class at The Core Connection
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
