From the reviews
I have been taking classes with Lara for many years. She is an excellent instructor in Barre, Pilates and Yoga. Her Yolarates class is my favorite class since it combines all three and weights as well. You really feel like you get a great overall work out. I would highly recommend her classes.
Lara is a wonderful teacher. I have been taking classes with her since 2010 and have appreciated her technique. Her barre classes combine all of the things that I love - dance, yoga, pilates, and all are done to a wide variety of musical genres. Her classes have been a respite for me after a long day's work.
Lara’s BOG (authentic barre) classes are amazing! I live in CO and do her classes virtually through Zoom, faithfully - every week! She gives wonderful cueing, even though we are not “in person” for class.
I've been one of Lara's class participants for several years and absolutely love her classes. I highly recommend her because of her teaching style, subject knowledge, the variety of classes offered, and exercise class content - plus, it's fun!
Your first barre class at The BOG- Barre On the Go
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
