Great studio with wonderful classes/experiences in Beaufort! Each week I look forward to attending the classes and events that are offered. My go to classes are Monday Pilates and Friday Peachy class. Both are so energizing and provide such a fun and challenging workout.
Love this place. Amazing, supportive instructors. Smaller class sizes feels like personal training and allows for wide range of ability levels. Love the variety each week!
Your first barre class at Beaufort Barre and Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
