From the reviews

Absolutely amazing place. I'm a former ballet dancer and the classes take me back to my old dancing days and have me tone in all the right places. The studio is very clean and they are following all the mandates in place.

Hands down my favorite gym! They have instructor-led group classes for Barre, Cycling, TRX, Yoga, and others. Also a espresso and wine bar and a small retail section for quick gift ideas and apparel. Come for a class, local flowers on Saturday morning, or head there for happy hour and live music!

Clean, bright, and welcoming studio! The staff are so friendly and kind, and they always go above and beyond. The owner is wonderful and truly cares about her clients. My family and I just discovered the Barre a few months ago via a friend’s recommendation, and we look forward to coming here for many years to come!

Adorable business and Jen is an upstanding business owner! I have been to The Barre for several events, including hosting my daughter’s 1st birthday there. Every time was a wonderful experience. Jen was so kind and accommodating with the food and decorations we wanted to use for my daughter’s birthday...

Your first barre class at The Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
