From the reviews
Never in my experience of taking barre classes have I had the opportunity to meet the most wonderful staff and owner, Katelyn. She is the BEST for new barre goers, helps to adjust your form, and makes everyone feel so welcomed.
LOVE this studio! Katelyn and all the staff are wonderful. They made me feel so welcome and supported. Each class is challenging and each instructor provides their own twist on the exercises.
Katelyn, both a Barre instructor and Barre owner, is passionate, motivating, and encouraging. From the Barre routine, to the enthusiasm she puts behind each and every session, to the sleek studio ambience; Barre Forte Summit County is a hidden gem.
This studio is top notch! My first class was FREE (a local special) so that I could see if it was a good fit and I was hooked. All of the instructors are motivated, positive, and really work hard to provide a variety of barre workouts and help before, during, and after class with modifications.
Your first barre class at Summit Barre & Fitness Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
