From the reviews
I always love coming in for my classes each week! A safe non judgemental environment that is perfect for beginners and experts alike!
While I’m at college I go to Pure Barre and it’s nowhere near as difficult as Sea Barre. My mom introduced me to Sea Barre over the summer and the results have been amazing! I’ve never looked more toned and in shape since starting.
I took a Barre class for the first time ever. The instructor was Pam at the Millsboro location. It was fantastic. Pam is clear and concise with directions and flawless execution moving from one exercise to another. I will be attending her classes going forward.
Still a newbie at this but loving the positive environment, challenging yet adaptable experience. Each instructor brings their own personality. Class is never boring nor the same. Its something new for me and I'm already noticing my body is getting stronger! I love it!
Your first barre class at Sea Barre and Yoga
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
