From the reviews
Barre is my favorite workout and Raise Your Barre is my favorite place to be ❤️. I have been doing barre multiple times a week for over three years. I’ve always exercised, but barre is the first workout that I have noticed significant changes to my body.
Amy and the whole RYB team are amazing and so welcoming. RYB is a little community- and the only competitor during your workout is yourself. The studio offers a variety of workouts, as well as pop up events. The space is inviting and amazingly clean. I love showing up weekly knowing I’ll get an incredible workout.
RYB is an amazing studio. There are a variety of classes and class times. The signature class is my favorite but I have tried them all and love them all. Every class is different and I am never bored! The instructors are motivating, fun, and offer modifications for the exercises.
I started at Raise your Barre about a month ago, and it has been the most rewarding experience. I was always nervous starting workout classes, but the instructors are phenomenal and the people taking the classes are super nice.
Your first barre class at Raise Your Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
