The classes they teach
“I'm a Pilates and Barre instructor, and I am very picky about fitness classes.”
“I'm able to use heavier springs in Reformer classes, and I can carry my dog for a longer stretch without having to take a break.”
“I mostly take the weights class (because I need more heavy weights in my life), but the signature scuplt class is also a really good head to toe workout.”

From the reviews
I'm so glad this studio opened near me. It is an excellent low impact, full body workout. They focus on strength through resistance, balance, and range of motion. The instructors are great at motivating and teaching proper body mechanics throughout each workout. Today, I completed my 5th class, and I'm hooked!
I love working out here. There are so many reasons to try Pvolve, besides the obvious benefit of it being a great workout. Class sizes are limited so the studio is not over crowded. All the staff and instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is easy so you don't need to arrive early due to parking.
Like most of you, you have probably seen Jennifer Aniston advertise Pvolve on Instagram. After several months of contemplating whether or not I’d be interested, and then your workout routine, I came across the Pvolve location in Carlsbad in the Ralph center and decided to try it.
I've been taking classes here for a couple of weeks now. I'm already feeling stronger. The studio is brand new, beautiful, and very clean. UPDATE to my previous review. It's been nearly a year later and I'm still attending classes here at this studio and LOVE Pvolve even more!
Your first barre class at Pvolve Carlsbad
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
