From the reviews
What an incredible workout! I love how Pure Barre meets you where you are at. When I began I was in one place physically and now several years later I am so much stronger and balanced but am still challenged every class.
This was by far, THE best Pure Barre studio I’ve ever taken classes at. The instructors are all so friendly and helpful, making sure to take time to show me the correct form and movements to ensure I’m getting the best possible workout! And the workout?
Pure Barre has been a great experience so far! Each instructor I’ve had has been amazing. If they see you struggling, they correct your posture and form to help you get the best workout. The littlest adjustments they make to your form make a big difference! Very friendly people!
I was really nervous to begin pure barre, but am so happy that I did! Each class is challenging, but a good challenging. I feel myself getting stronger with each class and am happy to have joined and to be a member of pure barre!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
