From the reviews
Absolutely love Pure Barre Woodstock. There’s a small learning curve if you’ve never taken a class but the instructors are very helpful and clear in their direction and are always available to answer questions. It’s a low impact workout but it remains challenging no matter how many classes you take.
I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to try Pure Barre for the first time. (I’m a regular at a boutique barre studio where I’m from). I was excited to get to try the first class for free.
I was in a workout slump post-COVID and was looking to change up my routine. I’m SO glad I found Pure Barre Woodstock! I have been taking classes for about a year now and it has significantly improved my physical and mental health.
I love coming to Pure Barre Woodstock. I’ve been to multiple Pure Barre locations, and Woodstock has such friendly staff and great instructors. I’ve always felt so welcomed. If I lived closer I would have an unlimited membership here.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: required here, and sold on-site if you don’t have a pair; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
