From the reviews
I will admit it took time for this studio to grow on me. I have tried a variety of barre studios in my life, and loved the barre studio I went to when I lived in SF. It took some time to get use to the differences. It's a fantastic workout for every level.
I love this studio! Each instructor I’ve had is patient, encouraging, and very skilled in providing hands on adjustments to target the intended muscle group. This full body work out is the perfect option for my cross training to keep me injury free as a runner. Keep up the great work, Pure Barre Queen Anne!!
I was super, super on the fence about barre, but then I took a class at Pure Barre and now I'm hooked. I had an amazing instructor who was super helpful during the whole thing and the workout itself is challenging, fun, and worthwhile.
I can’t recommend Pure Barre enough! This workout has truly transformed both my physical and mental health in ways I never expected. The teachers are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and always supportive, ensuring each class is challenging in the best possible way.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
